Welcome to the Sharpe Legacy! This legacy is just starting out, and is inspired by quite a few legacy authors. This is my first attempt at a Legacy Challenge, and my second serious attempt at blogging.

I am playing on Normal (90 Days) Life Span and am using the Family Trait of Genius. I am always looking for suggestions and welcome any feedback or comments! Enjoy!

Meet Dallas Sharpe

My name is Dallas Sharpe. I am considered a Southern Belle by some at home; my family was wealthy. “Was” being the key word. My older brother squandered away our inheritance on frivolous pursuits at becoming acquainted with celebrities. He longed to be of the celebrity status, and thought if he kept spending money to place himself in the “in crowd” he’d achieve his goal. Unfortunately, he lost everything we had and passed away at a comparably young age due to a narcotics overdose.

Our parents died when he had just come of age and become the heir to the Sharpe inheritance. I was still a child at the time. For being a genius, he had…an intellect rivaled by only the garden tools. Luckily mother and father left me a small sum that my brother didn’t know of.

That inheritance bought me a plot of land in Riverview. I wanted to get as far away from my past as possible and start anew. I wanted to start my own legacy. My brother was the end of the patriarchal Sharpe legacy. However, my mother was a very strong, driven and opinionated woman. She always taught me to never rely on a man for my income; that I was strong enough and smart enough to do it on my own. So I’m changing the Sharpe tradition. All heirs from now on will be female. We will overcome men that squander our money and use us, and be there for each other.

I will also require all my heiresses to keep a journal of their trials and tribulations with their inheritance.

Enough about my past. I guess I’ll start this journal with a bit about me for my future generations.
