Before getting into the stats and results I always like to share, I want to give a big thank you to everyone who participated in IntPiPoMo this year!

Blogs are listed alphabetically by blog name.

Statistics

As I’ve mentioned in prior years, I’m a sucker for data. So I always like to share some tidbits of data I find interesting every year.

  • Ten (10) total blogs participated in the challenge this year, including my own participation. This is five (5) less blogs than IntPiPoMo 2019.
  • Nine (9) blogs posted at least 5 images.
  • Eight (8) blogs posted at least 25 images. These folks (minus myself) are eligible for the “other” prizes as listed on the participation post.
  • Seven (7) blogs posted at least 50 images. These folks are eligible for the  “grand” prize as listed on the participation post.
  • Five (5) blogs went above and beyond with over 50 images. This is half of the number that went over 50 in 2019.
  • The most images posted was 140, followed by 61 and 57.

IntPiPoMo 2021 Prize Winners

Before I announce the prize winners, I just want to thank everyone once again for their participation. This event would be nothing without you, and I loved seeing the content that you shared!

We had folks sharing 3D art they rendered, some IRL crafting, exploration of Artflow, and a plethora of gaming images. I think this year has ended up the most diverse so far, and I loved it.

Okay, without further ado, let’s review the prizes and announce their winners. May the odds be ever in your favor.

  • “Grand” Prize – Of all the participants who complete 50+ images, I will use random.org to draw a winner for a $10 USD Steam game.
  • Four “Other” Prizes – Of all the participants who complete 25+ images, I will use random.org to draw four winners for a $5 USD Steam game.

I will be reaching out via emails to the winners on Wednesday December 15 so that they have time to catch the blog post prior to the email. Congratulations everyone!

Enjoying ACNH Again https://gamergirlconfessions.com/2021/11/30/enjoying-acnh-again/ https://gamergirlconfessions.com/2021/11/30/enjoying-acnh-again/#respond Wed, 01 Dec 2021 03:58:00 +0000 https://gamergirlconfessions.com/?p=2479 ACNH with My Bestie

I put Animal Crossing: New Horizons down a while ago. But after playing some the past few months with my best friend twice a month, I’ve really gotten back into it.

At first, I would just update the game a few minutes before logging into video chat with my bestie, and then leave it alone after the fact until our next game date night.

All we really do is visit each others islands as we chat about anything and everything. Check out what’s for sale at the Able Sisters and the Nook brothers, give each other items (though my bestie has become my ACNH Fairy Godmother), and just run around and visit villagers.

What really got me back into it, though, I think, is the most recent update. I got to see Brewster’s place in person, and that made me really want to unlock K.K. and get on with the fun “end-game” stuff.

Though, to be honest, the super epic Hello Kitty stuff my bestie has on her ACNH island may also have tipped the scales a bit in favor of picking it back up as well.

Unlocked K.K.

And I did it! I finally unlocked K.K.! It has taken me forever to finally do this. I’m not sure why I never really felt a drive to get into it before now. But it is what it is.

I did some time traveling for the first time to do it as well. Which was scary to do, but I think it’s something I can see myself doing every so often in the future.

Surprisingly, despite seeing the K.K. Slider concert for “beating” ACNH on others’ streams, it gave me all the good cozy feels, and made me even more motivated to carve out some time to play.

I wonder if it’s because I got to see all my villagers participate in the concert? I don’t particularly have an attachment or love of any of them (except maybe Merengue), but it was still heartwarming to see them all there!

And the Nook Miles didn’t hurt, either.

Villager Shenanigans

I’ve also encountered some… interesting conversations with Villagers. Both my own and my best friend’s. Like Tia, wanting to learn Kung Fu. Is she Neo, now? But for real, Tia. I feel the same way about chores.

And Judy is just… scary. She’s never really been a dreamie of mine, and this conversation really solidified it.

This mail from Merengue is making her grow into one of my ACNH Dreamies, honestly. Who doesn’t love the awkwardness of this message? Plus I honestly feel like numbers lining up (and those I see repeated often) have to mean something.

Turkey Day Event

I also finally participated in my first ever ACNH Event on time… Turkey Day! It was a bit of a pain to come home Thursday evening after spending the day at my polycule’s house and trying to grind it out, but it was simultaneously a lot of fun.

It required much more fishing than I was expecting, but I was okay with that. Fishing in games is one of my favorite things.

And I had to do a lot of fishing since I haven’t actually grown anything on my island, yet. Since the recipes are a bit on the random side, Chef Franklin of course never asked for the things I actually had on hand.

But I persevered! I fished for my villagers and was able to trade for the things I needed, and some things I didn’t need, as well. Plus I was able to get all the updated Turkey Day food, and conquer my first ACNH holiday in full! I’m actually looking forward to whatever they have for a winter holiday.

Sims 4 Flower Legacy: Rose Darling https://gamergirlconfessions.com/2021/11/27/sims-4-flower-legacy-darling/ https://gamergirlconfessions.com/2021/11/27/sims-4-flower-legacy-darling/#respond Sun, 28 Nov 2021 04:00:00 +0000 https://gamergirlconfessions.com/?p=2483 Sims 4 Flower Legacy

I’ve been having a lot of fun on stream as of late playing the Sims 4. As I’ve mentioned before, I love the ideas presented in the typical Legacy Challenge (started by Pinstar).

But the well-known legacy challenge has far too many rules for me to just have fun playing The Sims and enjoying the story my Sims create. I knew that I wanted to get back into playing Sims, but I didn’t know where to start.

So I browsed the extensive list of challenges on the Sims 4 forums, and found the Flower Legacy Challenge.

While it provides a bit more guidance than I am used to on what the goals of each generation are, I’ve not yet found it limiting. I also like that it is a six generation legacy instead of a ten generation legacy—it’s a little more bite-sized than Pinstar’s Legacy Challenge.

I already think there could be some tweaks to make it a bit more inclusive in its wording, but that’s neither here nor there.

All that said, I wanted to do a quick post introducing my Sims 4 Flower Legacy Challenge’s founder: Rose Darling.

Meet Rose Darling

Chestnut's The Sims 4 Flower Legacy Challenge Founder Rose Darling in everyday outfit

The description given to the first generation of the Sims 4 Flower Legacy Challenge is as follows, though I tweaked it to be a bit more gender-neutral and improve readability.

You’re like fairytale royalty come to life. You’re young, beautiful, and a hopeless romantic. You’ve read every single romantic love story there is, and now that you’re finally an adult living on your own, you want to make your biggest wish come true—find your one true love.

Name: Rose Darling
Traits: Romantic, Bookworm, Jealous
Aspiration: Soulmate
Career: Writer

The name, and the way your Sims look is optional, but the challenge creator asks that Sims look the part. To accomplish this, I’ll give them clothing and living spaces that match the color of flower their generation is related to. For Rose, that color is Red.

Traits, Aspiration, and Career are all determined by the challenge’s generation. Each generation also has specific goals and/or rules that must be followed to “win” the Sims 4 Flower Legacy Challenge for that generation. I’ve once again tweaked these to be a bit more neutral and readable.

  • Master the Writer Career
  • Complete the Soulmate Aspiration
  • Get married as a Young Adult
  • Have three (3) children with your Spouse

I did have some confusion figuring out what was meant by the Writer Career. You can be a Freelance Writer in the game, so it took me some time to realize the Sim could actually join a career as a writer.

The career track is not specified, so I’m going to pursue the Author branch for this run through of my Sims 4 Flower Legacy Challenge. But enough chatter, let’s take a look at all of Rose’s chic outfits!

2021 Midnight Grove DBD Event: Completed https://gamergirlconfessions.com/2021/11/09/midnight-grove-dbd-event-done/ https://gamergirlconfessions.com/2021/11/09/midnight-grove-dbd-event-done/#respond Wed, 10 Nov 2021 04:28:00 +0000 https://gamergirlconfessions.com/?p=2450 The Midnight Grove DBD Event

The Midnight Grove event is still live in Dead by Daylight. Pumpkins spawn in possible totem spots and award bonus Bloodpoints when smashed—both for killers and survivors.

Tangled generators and hooks have made their way into the land of the Entity, granting even more bonus Bloodpoints when completed and used.

And a new Event Tome has been added, playable only during the Midnight Grove event. The Tome includes lots of fun cosmetics for the new survivor, Mikaela Reid, and The Doctor killer. There’s also three new charms obtainable in the Tome.

The Midnight Grove DBD event is live until November 11, 2021. So be sure to check it out if it’s of interest to you!

Tome Status: Completed

Midnight Grove DBD Event Level 1 Event Tome completed

I completed the tome! I’m surprised, honestly. I wouldn’t have completed it if Behavior hadn’t extended the ending date of the event.

Especially since I’m still working through my feelings of their Fungible-esque stunt (I have a post on that in the works). And the feels left me not playing DBD for a bit.

It was a much better feeling working through the two tome levels than grinding out the fifth year anniversary crowns earlier this year. I get that they’re different events so they have different objectives, but the crowns were an absolute pain.

I suppose I could’ve left the crowns alone, but I can be a bit of a completionist. Which is why I found the Midnight Grove DBD event much easier to handle from that angle.

In fact, I didn’t technically need to complete every single piece of the tome to get the cosmetics from it. I did anyway, because they were bonus rift rewards. And I really like to complete Rifts for all the fun cosmetics.

Midnight Grove DBD Event Level 2 Event Tome completed

I mean, you have to at least get to the end-point of each one for the Charm reward. But in Level 2 of the Tome, for instance, you can obtain all the cosmetics without completing every single challenge.

However, as I mentioned before, I like to finish things out, and it was bonus rewards for the Rift.

And… Mikaela has honestly become my main survivor. So I had to have the extra cosmetics for her! I’ve never really connected with a survivor enough to Prestige them, but Mikaela will be my first.

I also really like Yun-Jin and Élodie. They’ll be next to Prestige. I didn’t connect with them as hard as I did Mikaela; I always flip-flopped on spending Bloodpoints to prestige one of them first. Then ended up spending the points to level killers.

Long post short, while I’m still feeling some type of way about the Pinhead debacle, I liked this event and I’m loving the new survivor.

Oh, and the new Killer released on the PTB today? LOVE HER!

IntPiPoMo 2021: Information and Sign Up https://gamergirlconfessions.com/2021/10/26/intpipomo-2021-information-and-sign-up/ https://gamergirlconfessions.com/2021/10/26/intpipomo-2021-information-and-sign-up/#comments Wed, 27 Oct 2021 00:42:00 +0000 https://gamergirlconfessions.com/?p=2411 What is IntPiPoMo?

IntPiPoMo, also known as International Picture Posting Month, is the image equivalent of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). In 1999 NaNoWriMo officially started as a challenge to write 50,000 words during the month of November with the end goal of crafting a novel.

However, this challenge isn’t something for everyone, for a variety of reasons. That’s where IntPiPoMo comes in. If a picture is worth 1,000 words one will thus need to post 50 images throughout the course of November to equal 50,000 words.

These images can be anything from game screenshots, to photographs you take and want to share on your blog, to even showcases of artwork you’ve created.

They can truly be diverse in nature—character selfies, shots of combat in game or at a LARP, sharing your game UI, showing off the new mini you’ve painted… the list is almost endless.

History of IntPiPoMo

IntPiPoMo was started back in 2011 by Angelya of Revive & Rejuvenate. Jojo of Admiring Azeroth took over the initiative in 2013.

Come 2015, Jojo was unable to run the challenge due to being out of the country, so I volunteered to take over to keep IntPiPoMo running.

202 was an unprecedented year for a variety of reasons for a multitude of people (mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Due to this reason, IntPiPoMo took a year-long hiatus, coming back in November 2021.

Sign Up to Participate

  • Fill out this form to officially sign up to participate anytime before 29 November 2021.
  • Link back to this post so your community knows where to go and what to do if they would also like to participate.
  • Try to post fifty (50) images of your own origin throughout the month of November.
  • Use the hashtag #IntPiPoMo when you share your blog posts on social media!

There is no strict posting schedule or theme you need to adhere to for this challenge. Feel free to bounce ideas off of other participants, post images in small doses, or in a once-a-week batch.

So long as you are following the spirit of the challenge (aka not dumping all 50 images in a post the day before it ends) and posting your own photos and screenshots, it counts!

Prizes for IntPiPoMo 2021

When I took over IntPiPoMo, I kept the spirit of the challenge, but added in some prizes for fun to those that completed. I plan to continue doing so until IntPiPoMo officially disappears, or someone else takes over.

“Grand” Prize – Of all the participants who complete 50+ images, I will use random.org to draw a winner for a $10 USD Steam game.

Four “Other” Prizes – Of all the participants who complete 25+ images, I will use random.org to draw four winners for a $5 USD Steam game.

IntPiPoMo FAQ

Updated 26 October 2021

I’ve received various questions during my time running IntPiPoMo, so I’d like to provide them as a starting point. Don’t hesitate to comment or reach out to me on Twitter if your question isn’t answered here!

Q: Can I sign up during the event itself? I don’t know if I can/want to participate.
A: You can sign up until 29 November 2021.

Q: Can I use my Tumblr blog?
A: Yes. Tumblr is a form of blogging called micro-blogging. Micro-blogs also exist as a format elsewhere, but Tumblr is a popular place for it. Micro-blogs are absolutely welcome to participate.

Q: Can I share pictures of my artwork as a part of the challenge?
A: Yes. Whether digital artwork, sculpting, knitting, miniature painting, etc. Many forms of creativity can tell a story just like words.

Q: Can I participate and use photos as a part of my posts?
A: Absolutely. Images don’t always convey everything one wants to write, and sometimes images aren’t the purpose of a blog post, but a nice addition.

Q: Can I create a GIF to use instead of an image?
A: If the images/screenshots are your own, feel free to create a gif. However, it will only be counted as one image towards your total.

Q: Do I have to take new screenshots? Can I use screenshots I’ve already taken?
A: You can use shots you have already taken if they have not yet been posted on your blog.

Q: Do featured images at the top of a WordPress post count?
A: Yes!

First, I want to give a big thank you to everyone who participated this year! It was a rough month personally, and seeing everyone’s posts made things a little bit brighter. (Alphabetical by blog name.)

Statistics

I’m a sucker for data, so I like providing little tidbits of information every wrap-up.

  • Fifteen (15) total blogs participated in the challenge this year (including my own participation). This was approximately the same number of blogs as last year (13)!
  • All fifteen (15) blogs posted at least 5 images!
  • Twelve (12) blogs posted at least 25 images.
  • Eleven (11) blogs posted at least 50 images.
  • Ten (10) blogs went above and beyond the 50 images, which is a new record!
  • The highest number of posted images was 133, followed by 67, and 65.

IntPiPoMo is almost at an end, but I wanted to give a quick shout out to those that signed up to participate this year. I’ve been lurking on posts, and it’s been fun to see how everyone interprets their participation in IntPiPoMo. It’s been a light in a pretty dark month to read everyone’s posts. (Blogs are listed in alphabetical order.)

My Little Indrik

I’ve been grinding my way through the events in ESO as much as possible, mainly because I enjoy collecting mounts, and think the Indriks are interesting creatures. I finally got enough berries and feathers to unlock my first ever Indrik, and I’m in love! The Onyx Indrik is delightfully glamour goth, and it makes me happy the way it appears when you mount it. While I enjoy collecting mounts, this one is going to be my main for a long while.

Witches Festival

I was surprised that the Witches Festival wasn’t as involved as other holiday events I’m used to in other MMOs. The quest for the reward item was simple, and over sooner than I expected. But the hovel the witch lived in was fun for screenshots.

November ’19 Gaming Goals https://gamergirlconfessions.com/2019/11/03/november-19-gaming-goals/ https://gamergirlconfessions.com/2019/11/03/november-19-gaming-goals/#comments Mon, 04 Nov 2019 00:00:07 +0000 https://gamergirlconfessions.com/?p=1211 September/October Recap

September and October ended up being a bit of a… rough few months this year, much like it was last year. So I haven’t done much gaming for a plethora of reasons, including but not limited to depression, emergency pet health, and my own physical health. As such, I didn’t particularly meet many of my September goals between the two months.

  • Hit CP 150 on Warden (ESO) – As of the end of October, I’m at 190 CP. Which is probably much slower going than many other folks I know, but I’m surprised I’ve gotten this far with as casually as I’ve been playing.
  • Ding level 50 on Conjurer (FFXIV) – For now I’ve cancelled my FFXIV subscription. I logged in twice over the course of September, and not at all during October. I very much want to get back to it, but do not have the mental capacity to handle more than one game right now.
  • Finish Auridon (ESO) – I surprisingly managed to complete this at the start of October. Grahtwood is another story, however.
  • Finish Grahtwood (ESO) – I am nowhere near finishing this. I have barely started it due to not having the capacity to do so. Depression is a bitch.
  • Finish City of the Sun God (SWL) – Once again, I am nowhere near finishing this. I haven’t logged into the game in almost two months.
  • Finish side missions in Blue Mountains (SWL) – I think I’ve finished this one? I’d have to log in to check, so we’ll leave it as unfinished for now.
  • Finish next route in Sweet Fuse (Otome) – I didn’t even open my Vita case the past two months.
  • Figure out a game for #SportSeptember and play it (Community Game-Along) – Again, with a lack of energy to be able to handle even the games I want to play, I did not make it to the Community Game-Along.

November Goals

  • Hit CP 215 on Warden (ESO)
  • Finish Grahtwood (ESO)
  • Finish Witches Festival quest (ESO)
  • Finish next two routes in Sweet Fuse (Otome/Community Game-Along)

Time for IntPiPoMo 2019! https://gamergirlconfessions.com/2019/10/31/time-for-intpipomo-2019/ https://gamergirlconfessions.com/2019/10/31/time-for-intpipomo-2019/#comments Fri, 01 Nov 2019 01:03:25 +0000 https://gamergirlconfessions.com/?p=1204 What is IntPiPoMo?

IntPiPoMo, or International Picture Posting Month is the image equivalent of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). NaNoWriMo focuses on writing 50,000 words over the course of the month of November. So, if a picture is a thousand words, that means that IntPiPoMo requires fifty pictures. Makes perfect sense.

These can be anything from screenshots from any game, to photographs you take in real life and want to share on your blog, to some artwork you’ve recently completed. Seriously, they can be anything—character selfies, shots of combat, sharing your game UI, showing off all those pretty new scenery shots with the new graphics card you got… you get the idea.

IntPiPoMo was started back in 2011 by Angelya of Revive & Rejuventate. In 2013, Jojo of Admiring Azeroth picked up the initiative. In 2015, Jojo passed it along to me, as she was out of the country and unable to run it. I changed it up a bit when I took over, offering some prizes for those that completed the challenge, and I plan to do so again like years past. I’m hoping to continue to do the initiative justice, and I’m excited to see what kinds of screenshots and pictures folks are going to share!

How to Participate

  • Fill out this form to let me know you are participating! You can join at any time throughout the month of November!
  • Link back to this post so folks know where to go and what to do.
  • Aim to post fifty (50) images of your own creation/taking throughout the month of November.
    • There is no strict posting schedule or theme to adhere to, but feel free to bounce ideas off of fellow participants!
    • Feel free to post these images as a once-a-week batch, or throughout the week in small doses.
    • The images you post in regular blog posts count for this. You do not need to go out of your way to post picture-specific posts.
    • Remember, the photos/screenshots you include have to be yours!
  • Use the #IntPiPoMo hastag when you share your blog posts via social media.

Wait, Prizes?

First, your overall prize is the satisfaction that you completed the challenge! However, I am offering a few prizes (as has become the norm) this year.
  • Grand Prize – Of all participants who complete 50 images, I will be using a RNG (random.org) to draw a winner for a game up to $15 on Steam (game time for an MMO can be worked out if preferred)!
  • Three Other Prizes – Of all participants who complete 25+ images (up to and including those who make it to 50), I will be using a RNG (random.org) to draw three winners for a game up to $10 on Steam!

FAQ

Updated 31 October 2019

I’ve received some great questions during my time running this, and I’d like to provide them as a starting point. Don’t hesitate to reach out if your question isn’t answered here!

Q: Can I sign up during the event itself? I don’t know if I can/want to participate.
A: Of course! You could sign up the final day, though I don’t suggest it.

Q: I don’t want to put these on my main blog. Can I use my SFW Tumblr?
A: Yep! Tumblr is a form of blogging called micro-blogging. Some people also have micro-blogs on other platforms, too. All these micro-blogs are welcome as a part of the event!

Q: You mentioned photography being allowed, but what if I wanted to share some artwork throughout the month. Can I use it as a part of my submissions?
A: Yes! Whether it’s digital artwork, sculpting, knitting, etc., any form of creativity can tell just as much of a story as words can. Who am I to tell you that you can’t use these as well?

Q: I really don’t want to fill up my blog with photos. Can I participate and utilize photos as a part of my regular posts to count?
A: Indeed! Images don’t always convey everything you want to write, and sometimes you don’t want to make images the focus of a post. You are more than welcome to count images that you include as a part of a written post, so long as they are your own screenshots/photos.

Q: Can I create an animated GIF of images to get my point across?
A: So long as the images/screenshots are your own, feel free to create a GIF! However, at this point, it will only be counted as one image towards the total.

Q: Do I have to take all new shots? Or can I utilize shots I’ve already taken?
A: There is no need to take new shots, but I ask that you utilize shots that have not yet been posted in any other blog post, please!

Blaugust 2019 Postmortem https://gamergirlconfessions.com/2019/09/04/blaugust-2019-postmortem/ https://gamergirlconfessions.com/2019/09/04/blaugust-2019-postmortem/#comments Wed, 04 Sep 2019 15:39:51 +0000 https://gamergirlconfessions.com/?p=1193

Blaugust is over, which always brings me bittersweet feelings. August 2019 was a much better month for me than August 2018 was, which I am grateful for. As difficult as it became to write 31 posts, I somehow managed it. Though that’s thanks to finally checking off a to-do list item and moving all of my old articles from QueueTimes and MMO Games to my blog.

Last year’s insights after Blaugust concluded:

  • Blogging every day is a valiant goal, but is not something I can manage full-time.
  • On the days I journaled in my bujo (bullet journal), I was less likely to post a blog post.
  • I have good intentions of mini-events, but can have a difficult time implementing them.
  • When life gets overwhelming, my content creation endeavors take a nose-dive.

I don’t know that I learned much more about myself that is different than what I learned last year, so this year’s insights are similar.

  • Blogging every day is a valiant goal, but is not something I can manage full-time. Once again, I already knew this, but it’s nice to have a reminder that blogging/writing is not something I can commit to full-time, especially when I’m working what boils down to three jobs (actual full-time day job that pays the bills, NSFW job which is starting to help pay the bills, and streaming on Twitch). I am planning to try to go back to my goal of posting once a week (or more if inspiration strikes, but at least once a week).
  • On the days I blogged, I was less likely to journal in my bujo (bullet journal). Which I’m not trying to put a value statement on. I use journaling in my bujo as a way to prepare myself for difficult conversations, or work out my feelings, or discuss thoughts for/about therapy sessions. In a way, I feel that I somehow stunted my personal growth for the sake of hitting a thirty one day goal.
  • When life gets overwhelming, my content creation endeavors take a nose-dive. This more came out in my streaming endeavors this past month rather than my blogging (albeit only because of all the posts I copied over), but it still holds true. Day job stress makes it extremely difficult to complete things I actually want to do. (And triggers some intense negative feelings, but that’s why I’m working on coming up with some alternatives to the day job.)
  • I miss creating content that is more in-depth rather than more personalized. Copying over all of my longer form writings from working freelance has made me realize that I miss writing like that. While I enjoy having my blog as a more personalized endeavor, I also miss writing in a slightly more removed and analytical style (as many of the bloggers in Blaugust also seem to do, whether on occasion or consistently). Maybe I’ll look at doing a more in-depth or thought-out post once a month on top of my weekly personalized posts.
  • Numbers seem to be more of a distraction than a help. Throughout the month in the Blaugust Discord, some folks mentioned their blog follower counts, clicks, and views. While I understand that the numbers and the resulting milestones can be important to continuing blogging, I’ve come to the conclusion that for me, they do more harm than good. While I appreciate each and every person who spends time on my blog, clicks through, and follows, focusing on those numbers makes me compare myself to others more frequently. “Why am I not getting the same numbers?” is a common thought. And in the end, it really comes down to, (1) am I enjoying what I’m doing for myself, and (2) do I reach people who are invested. And if that happens to be only 3 people compared to someone else’s 30, in the end I suppose that’s good enough for me.

Okay, so maybe I learned a bit more than I initially thought I did. I loved seeing a bunch of new folks start blogging, and others pick up blogging again. I’m looking forward to continuing with catching up on blog posts, and getting to a point where I spend a little time every day reading everyone’s blogs (hopefully not every one of us is going to continue at a pace of a post a day or else I’ll never catch up!). I’m excited to have a backlog of post ideas, again. Though some of them might need to be posted sooner than later so I’m not referencing a six-month old post by another blogger by the time I get to my own post.

I also, like last year, want to give a huge shout out to Bel for all the time and energy he’s put into this endeavor. You are an amazing person who works wonders. Thank you for being you, and doing all that you do.

Lastly, I want to give a (somewhat shameless) plug to another blogging event in the hopes that folks stay blogging through then, and decide to participate. Since 2015, I’ve been running an event called IntPiPoMo. IntPiPoMo, or International Picture Posting Month is the image equivalent of National Novel Writing Month (or NaNoWriMo). NaNoWriMo focuses on writing 50,000 words over the course of the month of November. So, if a picture is a thousand words, that means that IntPiPoMo requires fifty pictures.

I’m looking forward to keeping up with everyone, and hopefully being a little bit more active in Discord over time. Thank you for all the fun ideas, all! Keep up the writing and the fun!
