TBR Stack September 2021
Rollovers This is only my second time writing a post of this type. So I was unsure how to handle books I wanted to carry over from another month. I think I’m going to refer to it as the “rollover” section. Do you guys push books from month to month in hopes of reading it sooner than later? Anyway, here’s my rollovers for September. Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik – First appeared in August’s TBR Stack. Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse – First appeared in August’s TBR Stack. Namesake by Adrienne Young – First appeared in August’s TBR Stack. Darling by K. Ancrum – First appeared in August’s TBR Stack. Peter…

Final Fantasy XIV I mean… that’s kind of it right now for games? I haven’t played a lot of DBD lately because I’m just enjoying FFXIV so much. Like, way more than I thought I would, honestly. Maybe it’s currently my cozy game of choice? I should probably spend some time in DBD at some point soon, though, to make the most of the rift pass I picked up! Audio Books I’m dealing with a lot of stress, and it’s making it difficult to feel the desire to read. I still want to read, mind, but just sitting down with a book is not as appealing right now as it…

Gathering and Audiobooks
Like most folks, I used to watch a lot of streaming television and/or movies while playing games. But I haven’t been into watching anything streaming in over six months at this point, except maybe on a date night with Manthing. But audio books have absolutely become my new jam. I started subscribing to Audible back in January after checking out The Hate U Give from the library on audio book. I’ve always told myself that audio books aren’t my thing… but I really think they are. The Hate U Give blew me away on audio book, and I honestly don’t think it would’ve had as big an impact on me…

TBR Stack August 2021
Why a TBR Stack? I’ve never done a post like this before, and I think it’d be fun to go over what’s currently in my reading stack for the month. I know I’m most likely not going to get to every single book on the list. I’m not sure how it’ll look in future posts, but I really wanted to talk a smidge about all the books I’m looking forward to trying this month. Reading is something that’s become enjoyable to me again in the past year or so, and because I’m feeling passionate about it, I figured why not share? Library Run These are the books I plan on…

Dead by Daylight Right now, Dead by Daylight is just really my go-to game on weekdays. It’s great for end-of-night gaming so I can intersperse chores and content creation tasks in between matches in a variety of ways. I mainly either do a match then walk away to handle a chore, or do things while I’m sitting in queues. It depends on the time of night, and if there are any events going on. Until they implement MMR, anyway. Queues seemed to be fairly quick during the MMR test they did a few months ago. FFXIV I’m really enjoying the story! I’m having fun working my way through all the…

Nerding Goals September 2020
August Recap I pared down my August goals to try and be more focused in tackling them, so let’s see what I accomplished! WHM to 50 (FFXIV) Complete updated base game MSQ (FFXIV) I’m less than 50% away from dinging 50 on WHM, though I haven’t had the time or energy to do a lot of gaming as of late. Some of that is changes at work, and some of that is just trying to work my way through depressive episodes. I just don’t have a lot of desire to game during the work-week due to how my days have been going so far, but I’m going to try to…

Currently Nerding August
Another month, another list of nerdy things I’ve been into! It’s interesting to me how the things I’m interested in change up. This will be a neat series to look back on come December! Custom Doll Videos I always seem to stumble onto interesting things on YouTube. I’m not sure how, but I do. This month, I stumbled upon the custom doll community. I’ve only really started watching videos from two folks (both the woman in the video, and the person she did the collab with), but look forward to checking out more folks as I work my way through these two collections. Much like planner videos, there’s something calming…

Nerding Goals August 2020
July Recap I set some goals for July, but I honestly didn’t glance at them much during the month, so I’m not sure if I completed many. Let’s find out together! WHM to 45 (FFXIV) Check! Complete MSQ through level 45 (FFXIV) Check? I definitely hit my goal of getting to 45! And I think I was in story quests that were level 45? I know that with the big patch earlier this week everything has changed with MSQ for base game, so I’ve yet to dip back in to check where I was. Complete How I Made $10K as a PSO (Reading/Business) Check! Complete Don’t Keep Your Day Job (Reading/Business) Get halfway through A Song…

Currently Nerding July 2020
Another Belated Nerding Much like last month, I’m behind on my monthly wrap up, but I feel like I’m getting into the swing of content creation more a bit this week… which I hope continues! There’s not too much I’m currently nerding over this month, so let’s get to it. Warrior Nun Manthing and I ended up turning this on one date night, and then we both finished it separately because we couldn’t wait to finish it. I loved the pacing and the characters… though I still feel a bit odd about a male character just not showing up anymore after the halfway point when they were a big part…

Nerding Goals July 2020
May/June Recap I set up some May goals that seemed like I would manage most of them. I didn’t manage many, however, due to changes in the world and my own changes in game interests. Inventory Management (ESO) Check! Pick up the last items I need for learning crafting traits (ESO) Do a few quests in Grahtwood (ESO) I worked through my inventory management and tackled that, but I also realized that ESO really isn’t what I’m enjoying right now, as much as I may want to. So I’ll likely be putting ESO goals on the back burner for now, even if I do happen to log in and play some…
