Stream Schedule: Nov 8-14, 2021
Look! I have a stream schedule for this week! I know I keep saying I’m coming back to streaming, but I am actually back this week! Right now, I’m only pushing myself to do one stream a week, focusing on Saturdays. This is to help balance everything on my plate with both day job and adult work, while also making an effort to take care of my mental health. I haven’t picked up Sims in a while, so I thought this week I’d try getting back into it with a pared down Legacy Challenge—The Flower Legacy Challenge! While I love the idea of the basic Legacy Challenge, I find it…

2021 Midnight Grove DBD Event: Completed
The Midnight Grove DBD Event The Midnight Grove event is still live in Dead by Daylight. Pumpkins spawn in possible totem spots and award bonus Bloodpoints when smashed—both for killers and survivors. Tangled generators and hooks have made their way into the land of the Entity, granting even more bonus Bloodpoints when completed and used. And a new Event Tome has been added, playable only during the Midnight Grove event. The Tome includes lots of fun cosmetics for the new survivor, Mikaela Reid, and The Doctor killer. There’s also three new charms obtainable in the Tome. The Midnight Grove DBD event is live until November 11, 2021. So be sure…

IntPiPoMo 2021: Information and Sign Up
What is IntPiPoMo? IntPiPoMo, also known as International Picture Posting Month, is the image equivalent of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). In 1999 NaNoWriMo officially started as a challenge to write 50,000 words during the month of November with the end goal of crafting a novel. However, this challenge isn’t something for everyone, for a variety of reasons. That’s where IntPiPoMo comes in. If a picture is worth 1,000 words one will thus need to post 50 images throughout the course of November to equal 50,000 words. These images can be anything from game screenshots, to photographs you take and want to share on your blog, to even showcases of…

TBR Stack October 2021
Some Thoughts Reading kind of went by the wayside in September due to lack of work and mental health balances. I also already know that it could possibly be a bit of a tough mental health month—my CPTSD has been giving me a bit of a rough time the past few days, so I want to be gentle with myself. Being gentle with myself for October means trying to finish some books I’ve already started, and mainly just giving myself freedom to choose any comfort reads (whether re-reads or new reads in favored genres—largely paranormal romance) I want that are not on this list. I also don’t know that I’m…

TBR Stack September 2021
Rollovers This is only my second time writing a post of this type. So I was unsure how to handle books I wanted to carry over from another month. I think I’m going to refer to it as the “rollover” section. Do you guys push books from month to month in hopes of reading it sooner than later? Anyway, here’s my rollovers for September. Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik – First appeared in August’s TBR Stack. Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse – First appeared in August’s TBR Stack. Namesake by Adrienne Young – First appeared in August’s TBR Stack. Darling by K. Ancrum –Â First appeared in August’s TBR Stack. Peter…

Currently Nerding, August 2021
Final Fantasy XIV I mean… that’s kind of it right now for games? I haven’t played a lot of DBD lately because I’m just enjoying FFXIV so much. Like, way more than I thought I would, honestly. Maybe it’s currently my cozy game of choice? I should probably spend some time in DBD at some point soon, though, to make the most of the rift pass I picked up! Audio Books I’m dealing with a lot of stress, and it’s making it difficult to feel the desire to read. I still want to read, mind, but just sitting down with a book is not as appealing right now as it…

Why Am I Rushing?
Okay, so… about yesterday’s post? Well, I decided that today I wanted to zerg my way through Weaver to unlock glamour stuff. But by the end of the day I had spent the million gil I picked up through quests and healer roulette queues just getting to level 40 weaver. And I had to stop and think again. Why am I trying to rush crafting? The thing I enjoy the most in MMOs? Why am I trying to zerg my way through it? Does it fall back to the same reasons as yesterday? In both WoW and WildStar I would spend hours so that I was self-sufficient with my crafting…

So Much I Want to Do, So Little Time
There’s so much I want to do in FFXIV. I want to catch up to Endwalker, but I also really want to level gatherers, and level professions, and level Astrologian, and… I really just want to do all the things. Explore everywhere I have unlocked. Do FATEs just because. Fill out all the different types of logs there are. But then I also feel like I have to rush to get to Endwalker. But then I have to think about how I’ve never been playing at current level in FFXIV, so why am I rushing myself now? Maybe I’m feeling pressure seeing so many folks I know at or close…

Spoons, Please
This is pretty much a short filler post, to be honest. Work and life have been busy, and I am just beyond drained and unable to find the time and motivation to do the things I actually want to be doing (like blogging, streaming, creating all types of content). I’m not sure how often others run into these issues. Especially those that fall more towards neuro-normative. But after a long day at work, I do not have the physical and/or mental capacity to do much. And it was even worse when I had to go into the office and spend all that time in the car. Lately I’ve been wondering…
