    Would You Rather: Game Edition

I’ve hit the point where I’m finally struggling in Blaugust posts. So I’m taking out another evergreen post, though this one I picked up this Blaugust—Would You Rather: Game Edition. This originally started over with Mr. Peril, then found its way over to Krikket, and I personally yoinked it from Thyanel. I’m sure it’s been all over at this point, though! (I’m still catching up on all the wonderful posts folks have made, so I’m behind on actually seeing where else it’s been… yet!) Like Krikket and Thyanel, I’m adding “for a year” to these so they’re less… long-term and possibly anxiety inducing at the thought of one-or-the-other. Regardless of…

    Tip-toeing Into Glamours

Glamours have always felt confusing and overwhelming to me, but my bags were filling up fast and I wanted to go through and clean them out. But I didn’t want to just get rid of stuff willy-nilly. Knowing if I wanted something for Glamour was important to me… so I sort of delved into it. I had to search for advice to understanding the Armoire and Glamour Dresser but I finally found information on how to put things into them. I dislike that the Armoire doesn’t hold much, though. Not all of my classes/jobs have been leveled up much because I’ve been zerging through the MSQ to try and get…

    Social Media as Promotion

I’ve wanted to blog about this for a while, even before both Solarayo and Aywren posted about it earlier this month. I’m only now getting to it, however, because it’s taken me some time to mull over my thoughts. I’ve been trying to follow some social media posting/promotion and engagement advice provided by Amberly to grow my NSFW business, and have also been trying to apply it to my SFW content creation. However, after a few months of doing it for both accounts, it’s just… overwhelming, and not fun in the least. I know that I should do more of it for my adult content, but I also don’t have…

    Book Review: The Raven

Raven Wood spends her days at Florence’s Uffizi Gallery restoring fine works of Renaissance art. But an innocent walk home after an evening with friends changes her life forever. When she intervenes in the senseless beating of a homeless man, his attackers turn on her, dragging her into an alley. Raven is only semi-conscious when their assault is interrupted by a cacophony of growls followed by her attacker’s screams. Mercifully, she blacks out, but not before catching a glimpse of a shadowy figure who whispers to her… Cassita vulneratus. When Raven awakes, she is inexplicably changed. She returns to the Uffizi, but no one recognizes her and more disturbingly, she…

    Blaugust: Staying Motivated Week

This week’s Blaugust prompt is Staying Motivated! You are getting close to the final stretch. The idea here is to share some of your secrets on how you have stayed motivated while blogging on a regular basis. You might share some tips or ideas you have for making topics happen when you are feeling uninspired. If you are fresh to the initiative you could talk about some of the ways you have managed to keep yourself engaged this year. First, my biggest callout would be to use the content calendar plugin! It has helped a lot with creating ideas and readjusting based on ideas I get from the blogs I…

    Website Issues Stink

Ugh, website issues, y’all. I am over them. I switched from one host to another not too long ago, and I have been having nothing but issues with the host I switched to. I’m contemplating switching hosts after next year if things don’t improve. This time it was just so many issues with SSL certificates of all things. But for the moment looks like things are sorted. Crossing my fingers it stays that way. Image by Dok Sev from Pixabay This is post 21/31 for Blaugust You can find out more and sign up over at Belghast’s post!

    Five Games for a Year

Back in 2019 Naithan at Time to Loot talked about picking just five games for a whole year. I saw the post, and thought it was a great evergreen prompt, so I tucked it away to pull out at a later date. Today just happens to be that date! The Rules He starts with five rules for this exercise. The more detailed explanations can be found in his post. The consequence for playing a sixth title? Playing anything outside of your pre-selected five titles will result in any gaming device you touch spontaneously combusting. (I mean, not truly, this is a thought-experiment!) Selections aren’t limited to a certain platform. All…

    Master Matoya Appreciation Post

Warning: Possible spoilers ahead! Master Matoya has swiftly grown on me. She’s just… epic?? I enjoy pretty much everything that comes out of her mouth. Except for the gag bit where she mis-genders Alphinaud mistaking him for his twin. That was annoying. But at least it was only in a single cutscene. She also called out the eye-change that happened with Y’shtola after she’s rescued. It had been bothering me that her eyes were so different and off putting and neither Alphinaud nor Tataru had called it out. Not even her sister noticed! So I’m at least glad that was addressed by Master Matoya… though I still have lots of…

    Developer Appreciation Week: Sticker Shops

If you don’t know, planners and stickers (and well, stationery in general) are something I have gotten into a lot. I have quite a few sticker shops I frequent, but I wanted to call out the few that I head to first when I hear it’s release day. The Honey B Shop Shan and the Honey B Team create hand-drawn stickers that are a perfect mix of alternative culture and cute! Pretty much everything she creates (including her washi tape!) is something I adore and have to get my hands on! Creating & Co Paige focuses on lots of book stickers—whether they be reading challenges, or themed around books… and…

    Developer Appreciation Week: Streamers

Lately I’ve been watching a lot of Twitch streams… even though I mostly lurk. It’s become my form of entertainment to replace TV/movie streaming, quite honestly. Except for when I’m feeling in the mood for an audio book, of course. Because I’m watching so much Twitch, and have found a home in quite a plethora of streamers’ chats, I wanted to list out some of my favorites for y’all to follow! They’re mostly variety streamers that focus on social issues, mental health, fat liberation, etc. So check them out and at least give them a follow! Streamers I’m loving the heck out of in alphabetical order. Andrealausell BeardPrincess BigMikeyOcho Blizzb3ar…
