Gaming Goals: October
I’ve been enjoying putting together this gaming goals thing I decided to try out in June. It’s helped me focus my time and come up with blog posts. Life has definitely kept me busy as of late, especially since I’ve been focusing a bit more on some real-life activities. Like concerts (Chaide and I’re going to both a Meg Myers and Rasputina concerts this month!), festivals (bluegrass and chili, here I come!), and non-computer gaming (D&D campaign run by Chaide, and a local Mind’s Eye Theatre Vampire LARP). Plus the holidays are coming. It starts with Halloween and doesn’t end until New Years! So, here’s what I hope to achieve during October,…

Fantasy Weekend
Pets Galore So, while the Lag Boss has been fierce as of late, I’ve spent some time going through my bags and learning all the neat things I’ve gotten as Cosmic Rewards. I’ve ended up with a Corrupted Eldan Probebot, a Disco Snoglug, a Friendly Furrelope, the Li’l Beast, and an abso-freaking-loutely adorable Warpiglet, who is totally my favorite. Well, he was my favorite, until a guild member found this cutie (see left) in a lockbox from a dungeon and sent him to me because they, “don’t do collectibles”. His name is Commander Paws. I call him Commander Cutie! He’s very expensive if you search for him on the Auction…

Gaming Goals Review: September
I started this back in June 2015, and have been keeping up with it this past month. I reduced my goals the past few months due to real life, and I think I started getting things to a reasonable goal list. But, we’ll see in a moment. WildStar Launch Update DevStream on QT
On October 2, 2015 WildStar’s afternoon stream went from the Casual Friday layout they’ve been exploring recently into a WildStar Launch Update DevStream with Chad “Pappy” Moore, Omeed Dariani, and Chris Thomas, Lead Software Engineer (who was excited to participate in his first stream). Chris is responsible for all the game systems (outside of combat) that the designers use to make neat things for the players, as well as all the server structure involved in the back-end…. It’s Up! It’s Down!
WildStar has been interesting the past couple days, to say the least! Saturday I spent a large chunk of the day putzing about working on various things. I’m 3k away from hitting max rep on Northern Wastes, so one more set of dailies with a rep potion should do it for max rep! And then I can work on some Crimson Badlands. I also decided to just putz around in some Shiphands (now called Expeditions), and I ended up getting a new mini-pet!! Isn’t he precious? My new cotton-candy Rowsdower. Hurrah! We also had a guild meeting to discuss Free-to-Play, and address any questions or concerns folks had about it.…

Helping Out Friends
One of our good friends, Cam (whom you will hear from more as I start posting the TSW LP videos), was coerced convinced … finally decided (yes, decided) to try out Final Fantasy so that he could play with Sylver, Chaide, and me. Why is she always so stoic when everyone else is cheering? So he picked up the trial this weekend, and ended up subbing sometime yesterday so he could (1) roll and alt and (2) get above level 20. He’s stuck on the storyline at the moment, though, so we ran a quick Sastasha to help get him to the next dungeon. I’m hoping maybe this weekend we could…

Mushrooms and Teacups
This past week, as well as this past weekend, was kind of IRL heavy, so video gaming sat by the wayside. We did have our first D&D 5e game, so I might write up a quick hullabaloo about that at some point this week. The time I spent in WildStar was mainly recruiting, a guild officer meeting, setting up some stuff for raiding, and working on achievements in Algoroc and Celestion. Last time I was working on achievements, I mentioned that I still had Public Events to finish in Algoroc. So I decided to try and go finish them. I was able to complete one of them no problem, but…

Cartel Coin Bonanza
On Sunday, I hopped into SWTOR for a good chunk of the day. Chaide and I handed in some quests, and worked on our Bounty Hunter/Imperial Agent combo, and I also spent some time on some alts. Imperial Agent We ended up doing the Sithspawn quest a second time. The whole time we were doing it I kept thinking, “I remember doing this quest recently…”. Well, turns out we had, because the item I chose as the reward was something I was already wearing… could have used the commendations instead! Whoops! We also did some more quests in the Revanite Camp. I’m really enjoying the story there, and I’m glad…

GOOOOOLD!
Yesterday was the first time I’ve been in-game since… the 30th of August? Wow. That was almost two weeks without games. Oh boy was it rough, haha. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD! But I had some fun in WildStar! One of our guildies is working on attument and is at the Adventures stage, so we decided to hit up Malgrave to help him out. It was nice to run some stuff with guildies, and it was even nicer to get Gold for the first time while in there! I’ve run Veteran Malgrave Trail quite a bit in my time playing WildStar, and I was glad to finally be able to get gold out of…

Gaming Goals: September
I’ve been enjoying putting together this gaming goals thing I decided to try out in June. It’s helped me focus my time and come up with blog posts. Just like in July, August had a lot of real life stuff, so I once again cut down on my goals some more. Or rather, I put in more goals that are things I really want to do and will keep me logging into various games. So, without further ado, my gaming goals for September (albeit a tad late)! WildStar Goals Chestnut Do some more contracts in general (PvP and/or PvE) Reach max reputation in either Crimson Badlands or Northern Wastes Work on completing my…
