Real Neat Versatile Blogger Award 2020
Awards Time Once again, I am behind on blogging awards. I was tagged by Solarayo of Ace Asunder for the Real Neat Blogger Award, and before I could get to answering it, Naithan of Time to Loot tagged me in his combination Real Neat Blogger/Versatile Blogger award. I am going to tackle all of the questions in this post. As I mentioned in my last award post, I’m not going to bother tagging anybody as most folks have already been tagged for this. If you haven’t, and you would like to complete this, please feel free to grab either of the question sets, or both! The Rules I’ve yoinked the…

Nerding Goals April 2020
Gaming Goals Like many games bloggers out there, I’ve been noting my gaming goals for a while (I was surprised to see it went as far back as when I started this blog… so much has changed but some things remain, it seems). Then in August of last year I changed up the format of how I’d be doing them. Normally I’d be keen to come up with some gaming goals. However, I’m not at a place where I’ve been doing a lot of gaming. And it’s been that way for a while. Which puts me at a loss to what I even want to tackle outside of a few…

Community Game-Along 2020
Where Did it Go? I’ve been an on-and-off participant (since 2016) of the Community Game-Along that Anne of Chic Pixel has hosted. While, admittedly, I haven’t picked up any games outside of ESO in a while (and honestly, even ESO has just been login rewards for over a month, though I’m hoping that will change soon), I was sad to not be able to find it on her blog this year when I looked in February. Of course, like a newb, I didn’t even look at her old posts to check if she may have mentioned what was happening with it (spoiler alert: she did). So it wasn’t until a…

November ’19 Gaming Goals
September/October Recap September and October ended up being a bit of a… rough few months this year, much like it was last year. So I haven’t done much gaming for a plethora of reasons, including but not limited to depression, emergency pet health, and my own physical health. As such, I didn’t particularly meet many of my September goals between the two months. Hit CP 150 on Warden (ESO) – As of the end of October, I’m at 190 CP. Which is probably much slower going than many other folks I know, but I’m surprised I’ve gotten this far with as casually as I’ve been playing. Ding level 50 on…

Help Greenlight: Seduce Me 2
This was originally posted on QueueTimes on 11 April 2016. It is being re-posted here to archive the work I have done in case the original website ever shuts down. Seduce Me 2: The Demon War is an otome game looking for members of the gaming community to greenlight the game for release on Steam. The game itself had a successful Kickstarter and will be releasing in May 2016. You’re probably asking, “Why should I Greenlight this?”. There are a number of reasons, but first, let’s cover some background information. https://t.co/va9J947uMaSEDUCE ME 2: THE DEMON WAR IS ON STEAMGREENLIGHT! pic.twitter.com/foqC5H74pr — Michaela Laws (@VAMichaelaLaws) March 28, 2016 Update – April 11,…

30 Video Game Answers, Part 3
This post is (8/31) of the Blaugust 2019 event! You can find out more about Blaugust over at Belghast’s blog. I (Chestnut) created a Twitter list of all participants. UltrViolet created an OPML file of all the bloggers to import into your feed reader. The other day I decided to turn a post from 2017 into some prompts for folks. Part two’s prompts can be found here. It comes to an end with this post, part three of three! (Unrelated: I know I’m “behind” on posts, and while depression may have gotten the best of me for the past few days, I’m going to try to post an extra post…

30 Video Game Answers, Part 2
This post is (7/31) of the Blaugust 2019 event! You can find out more about Blaugust over at Belghast’s blog. I (Chestnut) created a Twitter list of all participants. UltrViolet created an OPML file of all the bloggers to import into your feed reader. The other day I decided to turn a post from 2017 into some prompts for folks. I’m continuing it with this post, part two of three! Gaming System of Choice I know it’s cliche, but it really is the computer. When it comes down to it, I do love my handhelds and PS4, but I just have a larger collection on the computer than anything else.…

30 Video Game Answers, Part 1
This post is (6/31) of the Blaugust 2019 event! You can find out more about Blaugust over at Belghast’s blog. I (Chestnut) created a Twitter list of all participants. UltrViolet created an OPML file of all the bloggers to import into your feed reader. Brain Weasels This is a post that has been sitting in my backlog since 2017. It’s one of those evergreen pieces I mentioned it is a good practice to have around for bad days. And today was a bad head day. It wasn’t as difficult to get out of bed this morning as it has been the past few weeks, which is a plus, but it…

November ’18 Gaming Goals
This post is a part of IntPiPoMo! You can find out more about IntPiPoMo and find the sign up form at this post. October Recap Well, November is already half over and I’m finally getting to writing this. Woops! October’s recap is a pretty quick one—due to life being super busy (vacation, assisting with SphinxCon, LARP, etc.), I didn’t really have a lot of time outside of raid nights in WoW, and work deadlines, to do much gaming. Of my list, I really only completed a few things. I finally ended up getting my Pathfinder (Part 1) achievement. So that’s one less thing to worry about come whenever Blizz…

Streaming: Week of June 24
Stream schedule for the week! My schedule has changed some during the week with extracurriculars, so I’ve had to do a bit of fiddling with my schedule. I still don’t have a schedule that is set in stone, yet, but I do hope these weekly schedules help folks out in the meantime. Be sure to follow Twitter for updates and the like! I’m also getting close to 100 Twitch followers, so I plan to do a giveaway of a $10 USD Steam gift card (on stream, followers only) and set up my cam as the 100 follower goal. Let’s see if I can reach 100 by the end of the…
