Estates, Lighthouses, and Amusement Parks
Yardcore Nexus While Saturday was chores and WildStar raiding, Sunday was a bit more laid back. There was more chores (of course), but we got in some solid gaming time, too. I also decided (as I put together a Yardcore video) that for me to continue enjoying to put out and enjoy putting out Yardcore Nexus, I’m going to have to scale them back to every-other week or so. And not get stressed if real life comes up and delays an episode a week. So, look for Episode 7 later today! I also watched the STOS stream this weekend with Caydiem, but I’m saving thoughts on some of that information…

Daggers’ First Raid
Last night, the Daggers (and some Blazing Saddles) went into Genetic Archives for the first time ever. We had about eighteen people total throughout the night (dipping to fifteen at our lowest), and we had a blast! We spent about four hours total inside, and beat up lots and lots of trash. We also downed the Hideously Malformed Mutant miniboss… …as well as the Genetic Monstrosity miniboss. We even took a couple stabs at Experiment X-89, and got him down to about 80%. But then he bugged. All in all, it was a fabulous night, and I’m looking forward to our next casual foray into Genetic Archives on July 5!

High Anxiety
First of all… Final Fantasy Sunday night, I had an epic battle with the login boss, but eventually was able to log into Lamia. Cactuar was out of the question after a half hour of login attempts, and Lamia only took about ten minutes comparatively. So I had some fun leveling up my Archer. I worked a bit on my main Bard quests, and next on my list is to purchase a few gear items from vendors to unlock the “level 5 gear” quest to progress the main story. I thought the exchange with Silvairre was entertaining. I giggled a little bit. Though I do think he’s kind of an…

Attunement Done!
I’ve been spending a large quantity of time in WildStar since Thursday (though Friday I pretty much just binged on Gilmore Girls, which I’m enjoying, as I never watched it at the time it was on television). I’ve helped run a lot of dungeons, worked on contracts, reps, and dailies… and I finished my attunement for Genetic Archives!! I’m glad to be done, honestly. Though the hardest part wasn’t the adventures, or dungeons, or bosses, (though they were are difficult). The most difficult part was finding the desire to finish it. To find a group of people I’d like to raid with, and not just “put up with” or what-have-you. While…

Stuck in a Rut
Feelings and Free Writing The past few days I’ve been stuck in a bit of a rut. Real life has left little time for gaming, so I’ve been logging into WildStar to sit and run around Thayd chatting in guild most of the night. I’ve run a few things–Wednesday I tanked a Bay of Betrayal and helped get a few more folks through it for the first time. Last night I finished my World Bosses for attunement, and all I have left is to smash the extra boss in Vet KV. But it’s all felt very unexciting to write about. While it’s been exciting to game, it just seems so…

Sitting on the Dock of the Bay
As I’ve mentioned before, one of the most gorgeous things about WildStar is the scenery. While working on my attunement, I had to go out to an island in Malgrave and fight a big slug guy. The beach there was gorgeous. There aren’t very many beach settings in-game, especially since there aren’t really mass-water effects for housing plots. So finding a gem like this is worth it. All it needs is a little hut! I really didn’t want to leave the island at all, but I needed to so I could work on some of my gaming goals and pass some time. I wish there was an easy way to…

Dax’s New Body
A Rose Would Smell As Sweet So, to the horror of many Star Trek/Star Wars folks, I have created a new alt in SWTOR, and her name is… Jadz’iaa! Yup. Jadzia is (one of) my favorite character(s) from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. When I was a kid watching Star Trek, I really wanted to be Jadzia, and I got a little jealous when so-and-so marries her. Because who wouldn’t want to marry Jadzia? One of the things I loved (and still love) about Star Trek is that women were human beings–they weren’t put in just for flavor. They were an integral part of the show. They were just as…

Chissy Chissy Makes Me Happy
Best Title Ever I think this is my best blog post title yet. 😛 I was listening to Smile.dk and some other DDR music just before I hopped into SWTOR. So the title just kind of had to happen. And then I giggled for a long while. So, post over the weekend seem to be my foible in blogging. I’m trying to think of solutions. I want to get ready for Blaugust, haha. WildStar This weekend I spent a bunch of time playing around in SWTOR outside of chores and some TSW and WildStar. In WildStar, I spent time attending the Nexus Best Dressed Gala. I was unfortunately late because…
